We are pleased to announce our continued reaccreditation for NADCAP chemical processing (with merit status) and non destructive testing in 2011. Thus confirming our status as one of the leading metal finishing companies in the UK.

This year also saw the introduction of zinc nickel plating baths, both barrel and rack. We have already obtained NADCAP accreditation for this process and expect to see a significant increase in demand for it as designers specify it as an alternative to cadmium plating,

Robert Stuart has always offered the largest cadmium barrel plating facility in the UK for the aerospace industry, this is backed up by a dedicated team that can devise bespoke plating solutions for the most complex parts.

Our position as a major independent contractor coupled with our family ownership has helped us through the recent recession. We have maintained our core skills by retaining all our long service employees and at the same time are training younger employees to take over from them in the future. We have many long serving employees who have over 20 years service, 2012 will see two employees completing 40 years service with us.

Robert Stuart has a policy of continuous re-investment in new equipment, in recent years this has included vacuum evaporators which enable us to recycle cadmium and water from all our processes, zero emission degreasing plant together with other process control and energy saving plant. Everything that we do has an impact on the environment hence our emphasis on improved environmental management systems, methods of work and the installation of modern and efficient equipment.
